|Ari is the founding cellist of Cardamom Quartet, a Boston-based ensemble engaged in reimagining the traditional canon by performing music exclusively by women. She received her degree from Northwestern University in 2008 and her Masters of Music from New England Conservatory in 2011.
is a classical and traditional cellist studying at New England Conservatory with Yeesun Kim. A founding member of the band Night Tree, they have toured throughout the US, opened for Solas in Portsmouth Music Hall, and have played in Boston’s Jordan Hall and NYC’s Rockwood Music Hall. They released their debut album in 2017, their second will be recorded this spring, and they are touring in Europe this summer. McKinley has played with the premier Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, touring Europe twice, playing in concert halls such as the Berlin Philharmonie and at the Alhambra in Spain and in New York’s Carnegie Hall. She has also played with the Portsmouth Symphony Orchestra, Middlebury College Orchestra, and the New England Conservatory Symphony, and soloed with the Champlain Philharmonic Orchestra.
