Baird 5 music sessions at Vermont Children’s Hospital in Burlington 6/25/18

Young Tradition Vermont continues to sponsor the Baird 5 music sessions at Vermont Children’s Hospital in Burlington. Thanks to Lexi James for joining in on Monday June 25th, the first of a regular commitment she has made for the next school year, after she returns from a summer in Europe.  Mark Sustic hosts these sessions once a month from 6:30 to 7:30, bringing guitars, banjos, ukes and more from the Instrument Petting Zoo.

We always have a great time, and thank Andrea Truedson for making it happen, distributing programs, inviting participants, and arranging individual visits for children who can’t leave their rooms.  Appreciation also to Andrea’s colleages with the Child Life Department and all the staff on the floor for welcoming and accommodating our monthly musical contributions, never knowing who or how many children will be well enough, thus interested enough, to participate.

Young Tradition Vermont has sponsored the Baird 5 sessions for over 15 years as part of its mission to inspire children with traditional music and dance and to use our resources to support families with children in life-altering situations.
