There have been several changes to the event other than the name change. First, many of the events are ticketed. There is also the addition of the Festival Club with a host band after each concert. Mark and Yasi are considering the possibility of including some judges who would add their weighted votes to the audience votes at the Contest Finals.

We are accepting video submissions for the contest until April 1st, so spread the word to young people who might be interested! We will be sending out an official announcement this month. Contest criteria and information on how to enter are at this link: https://youngtraditionvermont.org/2017/03/young-tradition-weekend-2/

The festival currently has sponsorship from the Vermont Folklife Center and Burlington City Arts, and an advertising sponsorship from Seven Days/Kids VT (Yasi Zeichner, festival manager, is working with them to set up an advertising schedule). Sharon Radtke is working on obtaining additional sponsorships. In February, Yasi and Mark will begin asking potential sponsors for $100 contributions for the sponsor banner.
