Now in its 26th year, the VIF will move into South Hall, expanding its space to include more booths, a bigger Food Court, and the Festival Theater, a more intimate performance space for movies, stories and workshops.
Over sixty craft vendors, including new Vermonters as well as crafters coming from all parts of the globe, will sell reasonably-priced, unique, imported handcrafts including clothing, accessories, pottery, wall hangings, rugs, holiday decorations, instruments, sculptures, carvings and jewelry. We welcome several NEW craft vendors including the U’angan Artisans Cooperative from Kenya, Katarina Doda – a filigree artist from Macedonia, Hebron Glass from Palestine, Himalayan Naari, and Mayram Juraeva of Uzbek Ikat.
One can enjoy delicious and affordable ethnic food, including African, Nepali, Brazilian, Italian, Chinese, Filipino, Argentinian, Tibetan, Austrian, Nicaraguan, Romanian, Dominican, French and Indian. Throughout the weekend, there will be nonstop multi-cultural music and dance on our two stages. Community organizations will provide information about international exchange and resettlement programs. New Vermonters as well as long-time Vermonters share traditions, celebrations, games, and art that reflect their cultural heritage
Tickets on sale at the door: $7 for adults; $5 for children 6-12 years old; $5 for seniors (65+); $20 family pass; children under 6 are FREE. Admission is good for the entire weekend.
