Boston States Fiddle Camp Online

17 August 2020 - 21 August 2020
All day
on line

Because of ongoing concerns with Covid-19, we have decided that the safest and smartest thing to do is to cancel the first year of Boston States Fiddle Camp this summer and INSTEAD host a week of online workshops, jams, and parties on Zoom. We want this to be fun, uplifting, and accessible to everyone so we’re offering a FEW financing options:
$200/individual student for the week
$300/household for the week
$40/day rate
Gala Concert by donation
All registration is online and a $10 processing fee will be added to each order.

If you would like to make an additional donation to camp, please do so. All funds brought in through this link will go directly toward paying our faculty—most of whom will not be able to perform at concerts and festivals for the rest of the year—and making sure Boston States has the resources to happen in 2021.

To help keep up all of our spirits, maintain a sense of community, and keep our faculty employed, we’re rolling out an online camp with classes August 17-21, 2020.

What we’ll provide:
1 fiddle class each day from a rotating featured instructor
1 rotating non-fiddle class each day: step-dance, guitar, piano, singing, cello
1 elective each day: cooking class with Nancy! Interpretive dance with Elias! (Just kidding…sort of.)
45-minute session every evening led by our auxiliary fiddle staff
GALA CONCERT on Friday night featuring all of the faculty
Dropbox with recordings and sheet music for the week
Check-in email each morning of camp

We HOPE that you can join us during class hours, but all classes will be recorded and available to watch later if you are working/unavailable during the hours that classes are taking place. Because of all these extenuating circumstances, all classes will be conducted at an intermediate level. See schedule below (all times EDT).

All of our original 2020 staff will be teaching with the exciting bonuses of Alasdair White, Galen Fraser, Conor Hearn, Maura Shawn Scanlin, and Anne Hooper.
