On Saturday, January 4th Cabot Arts Presents the inaugural 12th Night Celebration in Cabot Village, Vermont. The festival features an eclectic array of programming for all ages. Six ensembles will provide entertainment ranging from storytelling, puppets and comedy, to classical, jazz, Irish music and Morris dancing. On the Village Common will be ice skating, sleigh rides, snow painting, ugly stick workshop and a paper lantern sunset parade.
Featured performers include: Tim Jennings (storytelling). Modern Times Theater (Puppetry and Vaudeville). Morris Dancing by The Midnight Capers, Jeremiah and Annemieke McLane will provide a classical program of Grieg, Ravel and Dvorak. Evening festivities will feature jazz, swing band, Bella and the Notables in the Willey Building, and the Irish band Gypsy Reel will perform at the Den. A community meal will be served by donation at the Cabot United Church. The event will culminate with a Wassail (community sing).
