Fin Moore – Fin needs no introduction to most of us. He took over from his father as main instructor several years ago and his teaching style has allowed many students to dramatically improve their playing.
Angus Nicolson- Angus Nicolson comes from the Isle of Skye, in the North West of Scotland and started learning the chanter at the age of 10, some 23 years ago. He plays with a variety of acts including The Angus Nicolson Trio, Seudan, The Margaret Stewart Trio and other performance and recording commissions. Angus is a regular sight on the ceilidh band scene, as well as TV and radio, and has two critically acclaimed albums released with The Angus Nicolson Trio, “Lasses That Baffle Us” and “Sealladh Ard” with plans for more recording in the future.
Tim Cummings – Vermont’s own Tim Cummings completes the trio of instructors.
You can read the full bio for each of our instructors on our web page at www.cairdeas.org on the “About” page. Please type in this address or use this link to access the new web site. If you simply google a general “bellows school” term then you will most likely be taken to the old web site and miss out on all the current information.
Lessons and workshops in the whistle, dance and song are often available, and there’s usually a pipe maker or two on hand for any instrument repair. Evening activities are in the planning stages, and will include communal meals, slow and fast group sessions, and perhaps an instructors’ concert. More details to follow in the next newsletter.
