About the artists featured this month:
Honey & Soul is a soul-folk powerhouse of soft, tender babes. Honest, vulnerable lyricism and a sultry sound come together with heart-bending harmonies and electric group chemistry. Burlington, Vermont based and heart bound, the group formed in 2018 around Hannah Hausman’s original music and plays regularly in the Burlington area and on occasion in and around New England. Band members currently include Hannah Hausman, Cleo Flemming, and Danica Cunningham.
Hannah began her journey with songwriting back in elementary school when she sang melancholy songs about wanting a pet fish. Even before then, her first words were, “I’m going to have a band someday with two other rad women and it will be so important for my self-expression and healing.” Little did she know how true those words would be. These days, when she isn’t totally enamored with the alchemy of her two (honey&)soul-mates, you can find her in the bike shop wrenching on bikes, climbing trees, unpacking her psyche, or eating REALLY dark chocolate.
Jason Baker is a songwriter & performer from Burlington, Vermont. Jason started writing songs in 2017, and performing in 2018, releasing his debut, “America Dreams”. On his new album, “Common Man Blues”, Jason continues to write songs influenced by the deep roots of old-time & acoustic music, yet modern in lyrical perspective.
