Desorcie’s Market continues the 29th year of Summer Sounds concerts at home in Highgate with Banjo Dan and the VT Bluegrass Pioneers on Sunday at 7 p.m. Members of the Enosburg Opera House’s The Music Man will showcase a few numbers during the concert.
The exciting new VT Bluegrass Pioneers band unites the talents of three beloved, veteran bluegrass musicians. Brothers “Banjo” Dan and Willy Lindner, the co-founders of Summer Sounds favorites Banjo Dan & the Midnite Plowboys are joined by guitarist and dynamic lead singer Danny Coane who played with the Throbulators and the Radio Rangers, and, since 1998, with Vermont’s nationally award-winning honky tonk heroes, the Starline Rhythm Boys.
The Summer Sounds concerts are sponsored by the Town of Highgate and the All Arts Council, and underwritten by Chevalier Drilling, Desorcie’s Market, Drummac Septic Service, La Quinta Inn & Suites-St Albans, O. C. McCuin & Sons, and Ray’s Extrusion Dies Tubing.
The community based All Arts Council brings the performing arts to northwestern Vermont. The concerts are always on Sunday evenings at 7 p.m., always in a town park, and always free. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair as you settle in to enjoy outdoor family music and festivities. The rain site is the Highgate Methodist Church.
Free and open to the public!
