25 January 2019 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm First Congregational Church in Burlington
We’re starting back up on January 25–come out for a great evening of contradance!
It may be bitterly cold outside, but that just makes it the perfect time to go find a warm hall full of live music and friends, and get moving until we’re all warm.
Our music this month is by Atlantic Crossing, who will get your toes tapping until you can’t sit still. “Their music, drawn from the Celtic traditions of the British Isles as well as from Maritime and French Canada, lifts audiences from their seats and transports dancers to ever greater delight.”
Calling provided by a fabulous array of Mad Robins: Don Stratton, Alice Smolinsky, Dana Dwinell-Yardley, Richard Hopkins and Luke Donforth. All dances taught, no partner necessary. We welcome dancers of all ages and abilities. Come dance with us!

Contra Dance Survey
Researchers Jonathan Sivier and Jan Buhrmann are currently conducting a study on contra dance, in preparation for developing an article that will introduce contra dancing to a wider audience. Their goal for this article is to help promote the benefits of this form of dance to those who aren’t currently familiar with it.
They would like to gather information from as many dancers around the country as possible, and be able to compare the experiences and dynamics of contra dancers in different parts of the country. They would greatly appreciate your participation in a survey on contra dance that asks you to share your thoughts, feelings, and experiences with contra dancing. This survey is anonymous, and will only take a few minutes to fill out. Please click on the link below to take this survey:
