A not-to-be-missed event for any Village Harmony camp or workshop alum! Over the long Labor Day weekend (Friday evening-Monday mid-afternoon) 2019.
Come reunite with old friends, and sing and dance with us as we celebrate 30 YEARS next Labor Day weekend. The event will be held at Windridge Camp in Roxbury, Vermont, which is 15 miles south of Montpelier, 10 minutes from Northfield, and one hour from Burlington Airport. It is a beautiful facility with a magnificent dining hall, two dance pavillions, several other smaller singing spaces, a swimming pool, and lots of nice hiking trails in the adjacent state forest. Accommodations are mostly in a score of rustic dormitory cabins with adjoining capacious bathhouses. There are a small number of private ensuite double cabins and double rooms in the on-location Inn. These will be first come, first served. You can also register as a commuter and book local B&B accommodations.
OPPORTUNITY ALERT: If you have the time and want a longer reunion than just the weekend, check out our special 7-day REUNION WEEK CAMP, which begins on the previous Monday, August 26 and continues through the Anniversary Weekend.
Each day will be filled with multiple singing workshops and dance sessions, led by returning Village Harmony directors. The evenings will feature special big-group events, including a shape-note sing, two contra-dances featuring a stupendous VH alumni band and a big performance evening. The weekend will end after lunch on Monday with a final group sing.
Don’t wait. Pen the dates into your calendar, and go online to sign up. A 25% deposit will hold your place, with the balance due on April 1, 2019. Early-bird pricing is in effect until January 1, 2018.
We are deliberately keeping fees low for this event, to encourage everyone possible to attend. Therefore, if you can afford it, we urge you to sign up at one of the two higher tuition levels we’ve set up on our registration site, a portion of which will be tax-deductible as a donation to Village Harmony’s 30th Anniversary Fund. One use of this fund will be to provide transportation to the event for music directors volunteering for the event who live far away.
We are offering 30 discounted residential places for people who will help out in the kitchen, one meal each day; these are available online on a first-come basis (AND ARE DISAPPEARING FAST). Commuters are also welcome to attend at a discount.
