Young Tradition Touring Group Rehearsal at the Flynn Center for the Performing Arts

7 September 2019
12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Flynn Center for the Performing Arts

9/7/19 is the 1st of this year’s Young Tradition Touring Group’s rehearsals. Most rehearsals start at 1pm, end at 5pm, but this one starts at 12 noon and ends by 4pm.

Artist Leaders for this year are Oliver Scanlon and Romy Munkres (Youth Artist Leader).  Managers are Mark Sustic and Kristin Bolton/Andrew Munkres (shared position).

We’ll start the rehearsal with introductions, including group leaders.

The dates and itinerary for the April trip to Japan is still being worked on.  Activities will include performances, interactions with other young musicians and dancers, dancing, workshops and some site-seeing. More information to come.

From writer Anthony Bourdain, which seems appropriate to the Touring Group – the entire experience, not just the April trip…..‘Traveling isn’t always pretty. It isn’t always comfortable. Sometimes it hurts, it can even break your heart. But that’s ok. The journey changes you, it should change you. It leaves marks on your memory, on our consciousness, on your heart, and on your body. You take something with you. Hopefully, you leave something good behind.’
